I mean, it's pretty much Otani's award every year, unless he's hurt.
As long as he's doing both.
He'll be back in a few weeks as a pitcher, but still so good offensively.

when tony's just a dh um but yeah it's almost impossible for for otani not to win this thing again uh i think i'm going to keep saying this thing almost every year as long as he stays healthy but just you know such an inherent advantage when you're a two-way player i know we talked about uh pro armstrong at the all-star game about that and i think his language was uh maybe this winter i'll go to a pitching lab and see if i can become a closer for the cubs

So, you know, Ohtani's got a two-month head start there.
You know, there's other people involved, too, in that MVP race.
But, no, I mean, right now it's a decisive lead.
I mean, Ohtani would have to fall apart, and Pico Armstrong would have to.
What he did in June, we'll have to do the next three months as well.
You can certainly make the argument.
The only thing with Babe Ruth is when he was hitting his 60 home runs or 50 home runs, he was hitting more home runs than every team combined.
So for someone to do that now, they'd have to hit 300 homers.
That's something ridiculous.
