It's how do they take the coaching?

How do they work out in practice?

How do they run the scout team?

What does it look like when they have to digest new information?

You'll know very quickly if these guys are good enough.

To me, you're pushing Will Howard, you're pushing that rookie, you're pushing your veteran backup if you bring in another young guy.

And so you just kind of have to continue to learn the wiring of these guys.

But as I mentioned, you keep taking dart throws at them because look at what the Niners did.

I mean, Trey Lance did not work out, but it turns out the seventh-round pick quarterback they took out was the answer in Brock Purdy.

They had another young guy on roster to go to in that spot.

So when it comes time for the young guy to take over,

Having other young guys to where you can say, hey, maybe this guy will work.

Maybe this guy will work.

The Saints had the same thing, right?

They had Rattler and Shuck.

They had two young guys.
