A lot of good forcing for heavy snow, and that's now edging right out of Greenville into the Piedmont of North Carolina.
That's why we're starting to see these snowfall totals pick up, and this is just phase number one.
This eventually will transfer its energy offshore, but that's not going to be until late this afternoon to the evening hours.
So we're in it now with heavy bouts of snow.

We're going to see temperatures just plummet down to about 12 degrees.
But the nightmare of the storm, it really started out there.
New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, all the way up there with the icing that went right through middle Tennessee.
Things right there are much worse than we are right here.
And then you're talking about epic amounts of snow, something we haven't seen in four years.
About a foot of snow is what they got in Central Park and went up to 18, 20 inches around Boston.
This storm, unfortunately, it came as predicted and it continues to gain some strength.
Now, we've already seen icing.
That's freezing rain in Nashville, Tennessee.
