I mean, he's been putting better the last couple of years, and he's just been awful through two rounds.

I mean, if he had any kind of putting feel, he'd be leading this tournament.

That's one of the biggest surprises, I think, because he has been putting pretty well this season.

There's been a couple of tournaments where he hasn't.

But compared to the old days where he was just, you know, he couldn't sink anything from three feet.

He's putted well the last two years and he's not doing that right now.

So that's that's certainly one of them.

I think the other part is that and this kind is nuts.

much of a surprise but there's a lot of a lot of sort of unheralded names up on the leaderboard let's just put it that way a lot of guys you might not know usually you see that for one round or you see one of the two one or two of them hang around but there's some good interesting names and I think that makes it interesting for for guys I mean like me I go and look these guys up find out what they've done where they've been I know most of them but not not in depth by any means and that's usually happens at the Open Championship it's to me it's kind of a world championship of golf you get guys from all

all over the world playing in this tournament that you don't in the other three majors.

And I think that's what makes this special.

And each year, you sort of said as a surprise, each year it's a surprise to see who these people are and where they've come from and what they're doing out there.

He's an interesting character.

I can't say I know him all that well.

I've had some good conversations with him.

I've had some weird conversations with him.

I've had some times where he's just blown me off, and I've had some times when he's sought me out for an interview.

He's an interesting guy, and I think he...

I think he's tried to figure out exactly who he should be, but I'm not sure he's there yet.
