And, you know, Dave and I have been to enough of these.
We've been roommates at a couple of these, I think, in the past as well.
Where you go out there and you bring, you know, it's the middle of July and you bring your long johns and you bring your rain gear and you bring your umbrella.
And I kind of like battling the elements.
There has been some wind, not anything that we're noticed to, but there have been years gone by where it's been like this as well, where it's been warm.
I can remember one year for some fluke, we had a hotel room rather than, usually you rent a house, but we had a hotel room at a Holiday Inn and it had air conditioning.
It must have been the only building
in within 50 miles of where we were staying that actually had air conditioning because uh there's not much in the uk i could tell you that a lot of players were actually posting pictures of their hotel room thermometers saying you know it was 80 and 90 degrees in their hotel room they didn't know how to sleep so um it is unusual i prefer a little bit more weather i prefer a little bit of rain and a little bit of uh of the upsetness of uh of stuff but it's it's just sort of another thing you associate with this tournament but looks like it's going to be warm and sunny for the rest of the weekend
You know, Connors is, of course, notorious for not being a great putter.
He is a great ball striker.
He hits fairways.
He hits greens.
The first round, it's a little bit crazy, actually, that first round.
He made one bogey and 17 pars.
I mean, that's hard to do, to be perfectly honest.
And he came out, I think, a little bit frustrated.
But what you do to overcome mediocre putting is you just hit it closer.
And that's what he did.
I think he had two birdies.
There was a four-hole stretch where he birdied them all, 14 to 17, I think.
