Um, but I looked at the spoon and it made me smile.
And I was like, the design of this is cool.
Like I, I want the spoon cause I want to like have something in my kitchen that I also like love to look at and that's just something that's functional.
And it was that moment that I really started to realize that there were people out there that were not only building things to make the world function better, but building things to make you happy, you know?
And that kind of, I think set me on the track of thinking about, um,
That's so cool.
I wouldn't say I made a choice then because, I mean, I left home at 15.
There was no like choice of career.
It was just like I need to eat and pay rent.
But it was something, it was that time where I started thinking like design is something that I love.
And it wasn't until years later I fell into it.
you know decorate it and so and it's expensive furniture is expensive and decor is expensive but it's really nice when you like head to goodwill head to the flea markets you know a lot of times people are like oh i don't want to get used stuff why used stuff is great yeah you know used decor is great because with decor like people get bored with decor yeah so they they donate it you can get some of the most amazing things for so cheap and it's less stuff that's going to end up in a landfill
Also, I mean, I used to when I was really hard up for stuff, I would go to the expensive neighborhoods on trash day.
I would look online and I would figure out what day is trash day and you would find the best furniture on the street corner.
You know what I mean?
Years ago, my friends and I used to do decor swap parties.
It was an idea I came up with.
But again, you get bored with stuff in your house.
And instead of going out and buying new, because I definitely didn't have the money to back then, my friends and I would, you had to bring two items with you and something that you were bored with in your house.
And we'd all bring the items and we'd like swap.
