Like still all the same stuff, you know?
And so like you're put in this situation where you're like, you're being told that you have to come with them, you know?
And so for the first few homes, me and my sister were together.
My brother went and stayed with my grandparents.
Yeah, I asked that question for a long time.
And I will tell you, like, there was like, you know, there was like this feeling of like, why was I not good enough and all that kind of stuff for a long time.
But
You'll hear it through my story.
I've come to grips with the things that have happened to me were meant to happen to me and I'm at peace with them.
I forgave my grandparents a long time before anybody ever asked for forgiveness.
They did.
My grandfather passed in 2015.
My grandmother got sick a few years ago and she called me and she said, I think one of the biggest mistakes I ever made was- I'll cry right now.
She said that, yeah.
Yeah, she said that to me, man.
No, it was a tearjerker for me too because I didn't want her to feel like I wanted to clarify this for her as well, right?
Because I know that had obviously had been eaten at her.
So she called me and she said, one of the biggest mistakes I ever made was bringing your brother in and leaving you and your sister.
And here's the interesting part of that.
I mentioned that my brother is my half-brother, but these were our maternal grandparents.
