And then I strained the baking grease.
out using a strainer because I I and I wanted to get all the little bits out of the bacon grease.
And then I poured that baking grease into a jar which had a full bottle of Buffalo Trace bourbon sitting in there.
Put it in there, put a lid on it, shook it up.
And every time I'd walk by it for about twenty four hours, of course I wasn't doing it while I was sleeping, but I'd shake it up, you know, just to kind of agitate it a little bit.
And then at the twenty fourth hour, not that it has to be exact because you could wait two days if you wanted, I threw it in the freezer, gave it another hour in there so stuff kind of got coagulated and started to kind of stick and rise to the top.
poured it out through a strainer again and or I could have poured it directly through a coffee filter.
I just put this extra stream in.
I don't know why.
And then pour the bourbon through a coffee filter to get all of the kind of like residual fats out, but the flavor stays.
And that is step one to this party.
Now we're gonna move on to making our drink.
All right.
So hopefully.
You found a reason to make more bacon because why not?
Because this was a great time to like make some garnishes.
And so now what you're gonna do is you're gonna take you can use a mixing glass if you want.
You can build this in the glass also.
So if you're building it in the glass, I would recommend using either wet ice or just add a third of an ounce of water in there just to kind of hit it with a little water.
Calm things down a little bit and then put two ounces of your bacon fat bourbon in there.
