Like, we haven't all put our minds around.
But some team somewhere this playoffs is not going to be able to address its best lineup, not because of injury, not because of salary cap, these new rules.
And so, you know, I think that had a chilling effect in the back.
And then on top of that, it started off,
it felt like as a seller's market.
I mean, yeah, you know, I listened to your show yesterday.
I mean, no one thought Nicholas Wall was getting that return probably until it happened a few other trades.
But then at the end, there just wasn't any buyers left.
And so, you know, you see the Leafs, you know, move McMahon and Lawton right before three o'clock Eastern.
Yeah.
maybe don't get exactly back what they had hoped.
They're far from the only ones.
It's why they didn't trade OEL.
It's why the Rangers said, hey, wait, we're not trading our guy.
Ryan O'Reilly was out there today.
Finally, the Predators were willing to move him.
They couldn't get the price they wanted.
And so I just think that teams, especially with all those guys with term left on their deals, decided not to trade them for less than the value they were holding to them.
But they're usually the star of the, maybe not necessarily the day, because sometimes it happens a few days before.
Right.
