I think that there was a, a point where I needed to really kind of hunker down and like figure it out.

If I wanted to go to the next level, you know, there was a point where if, you know, maybe I wasn't going to go D one and I'd go D three and I get a good education while playing hockey.

Like that, that's a good route for people.

If that had happened to me, I would have still said I had a successful hockey career.

But I'm fortunate that I was able to figure it out.

It took me longer in my development path to get where I wanted to be.

I didn't look at being drafted or not as anything important.

Goalies are weird, right?

Sometimes we figure it out a little later on.

Our body takes a little time to develop it.

Just gaining experience and reps and playing games is so important, right?

I think the most important thing is to be the best 27-year-old, you know, not the best 18-year-old.

Um, you know, I don't totally know, you know, uh, I, I was claimed and when I came in, it was reported that he was, he was banged up.

So I don't know if something had happened.

Right.

Like, you know, I don't know all those details.

I'm such a day by day person.

I just come in, you know, clock in, clock out, have fun, make some saves and, you know, then the day's over.
