Go on a skate trip.
And you're not going to get fired for going away or like where I've only been fired from two or three jobs.
And it was always because I had a skate trip to go on.
I got to go on the skate trip.
And they're like, no, you got to work this weekend.
I'm like, all right, I'm done.
And then I started working in skate shops for that reason.
maybe the end of high school or early first bit of college.
And then was just like, I gotta go, I'm gonna go away for a month and skate.
And like, that's part of working at the skate shop.
The point isn't to be in here and just sell stuff or be like really into retail.
It's like,
Part of it is like, how do we do cool stuff with skating?
Getting to work with artists, getting to do board graphics, getting to put on an event where we build some ramps or help build a skate park.
But then part of that is like, oh, we got to find cool stuff to sell so we can support each other and have the shop support us.
People working here, getting to go on trips, getting to make connections.
How does anybody get to meet you guys?
It's through the shops to start.
it's been a mix over the last few years like for a while we had like a little little bit of like five to ten year olds would pop in and pop out and then no teenagers for probably like 10 years there was no teenagers and then there was 30 year olds and then 40 year olds and then the same 50 year olds are still skating yeah but now there seems to be a better mix like it's coming through and now like a lot of the parks um
Have little like skate camps, which I think are important.
