They got healthy players.
One of the things I think everyone noticed was they looked a lot better in the clutch.
And that goes back to Aaron Gordon and what Adam and I said all season long, the spacing, we call it a two man game.
And the thing is in 2023 is it was a five man game.
You had Aaron Gordon, the dunker spot, and you had two elite quarter shooters that teams were scared of leaving.
And so it all worked in concert.
And when any piece is missing, it's different.
Notably Christian Brown, instead of KCP cam is a nice, you know, approximate replacement for MPJ in that.
And, and so again,
When Aaron Gordon's missing, it's really hard to replicate that.
Then you throw on top of that, that the guys you would throw in there, Peyton Watson, Spencer Jones for spot starts were also often hurt at the same time.
So it really affected the way teams were trying to guard Jokic and the way they were able to key on and key in on Jokic and Murray.
That's what I think has changed the most.
The schedule did break their way, though, and it matters.
I've tried really hard all year.
I didn't want to just make excuses until the last couple weeks of the season.
The schedule matters, that they were in and out of home all season, like one game at home and then back on the road.
Every NBA player will tell you, even the old school ones, right?
Like Scott Hastings will say the hardest game of the road trip sometimes is the first game back at home.
And that's all Denver has done in ball arena.
