Yeah, um like she's she's a remarkable woman really, to be somebody who was plucked from from absolute obscurity to be a a sort of an an icon for um sexual abuse uh victims. matched

And like the title of her book, I know th there was was it um Not the Perfect Victim and I I think that was what matched

really made her case such a watershed for sexual abuse reporting in that, you know, yes, she was out on the town. matched

Yeah, she was, you know, she was dressed in in in in in matched

you know, uh party wear or whatever, and that she wasn't the the perfect innocent victim that, you know, perceived as the case that that, you know, in order to get sympathy that that victims of rape. matched

Now we know it's only a it was it was a civil conviction rather than a criminal conviction, but that, you know, she she still went for it and and took on this, you know, hugely successful popular um uh matched

uh international figure and and and succeeded. matched

So she's still suffering panic attacks, she says, and she's still very traumatized by the experience. matched

But I mean it was an it was a remarkable thing to do, really, for her to pursue that to the extent that she matched

you know, i if if the evidence isn't there or at least if if if the the prosecution or the potential prosecution is based on on the fact that there isn't sufficient evidence there, is that not the sort of s headline, certainly, that will make women less likely to to report rape i in circumstances where, you know, one of the the the reasons I suppose for for um naming matched

rapists in Ireland after conviction is that in the hope that that other victims will come forward because there's such widespread acknowledgement of the fact that women do not report this crime. matched
