I I would agree with Louise.
I don't think that unless somebody is actually a danger to society that they really don't belong behind bars, and I would say that she is not.
She is she's going to live.
end of the day, a bit somebody, that is going to haunt her for the rest of her life with with w i in a way that none of those other twenty four women who were released will will ever have to deal with that level of appropriately.
But if the wrong people are being jailed, then that is the obvious, I suppose, response to it.
If there are people behind bars who really aren't a threat to to society, who could, as you suggest, maybe have been fined heftily instead of jailed, that they're the people who are being let out.
But just on the on the subject of of shame, Brenton, and we we don't do the public stocks anymore.
But that was an element of punishment years ago that you are put in the public square and people mock.
mocked you and derided you.
That doesn't happen now unless you're a well known person, unless you're a celebrity.
So this will follow her in a way that a a similar crime and even a similar sentence would not follow somebody of a lesser degree.
I know it's not a a popular viewpoint, but she is being punished
to an extent that somebody unknown, without the background she has, and you may say, well, with the privilege she had, there's less excuse for her to have behaved as she did.
Never mind, that's where we are.
The fact is she will never live this down, particularly having taken a bite out of somebody.
That is going to haunt her for the rest of her life.
