And then, you know, I'll tell you guys, I remember having a conversation last October with Huber Davis in his office and he
UNC had just finished playing BYU and A.J.
DeBonson at a preseason exhibition, and by all accounts, Caleb had outplayed A.J.
I think he had 22 and 10 and three blocks and a couple of steals, and it was kind of an eye-opener for me and for a lot of us who cover college basketball, and I asked Hubert, I said, is that like a one-off?
Was that like the best you've seen him, or is that kind of what you expect on an every-game basis?
And
You know, he just shrugged and smirked kind of like he knew a secret the rest of the world didn't.
And so I think, you know, the fact that this guy is as productive as he is already, you know, obviously says a lot, but there's a lot more untapped potential here.
I think it's going to take a couple of years for him to fully get there, especially offensively learning some better defensive habits.
But all the tools are there.
Yeah, you know, obviously he's not a great shooter so far.
You know, his handle, you know, he can absolutely handle the ball on the open floor.
I think it would be silly not to let him, but it can get tighter.
He had it poked away a couple of times.
You know, defensively, I kind of like to call him, he turned into a block merchant at times.
He would intentionally sag off people so that he could go and get those highlight blocks.
Nice.
You know, some of his off-ball defense, you know, you could see him ball-watching, maybe wasn't as always engaged.
But again, he's a young player.
Like, those are habits he has to develop.
