I heard a guy say on Ezra Klein there the other night that Trump is not a cause, that he is actually a symptom.
We're separate individuals.

Just going back to Jung, one of his big ideas is that the greatest achievement is completely knowing yourself.

And I'm kind of going, well, I don't know about that, Jung.
Of something that liberalism allowed to happen, yes.
Do we ever completely know ourselves?
I don't know.

I think there's so much of you that's like what Strout was saying is mystery.
I find myself, there's a mystery in all of us.
We don't fully know ourselves.
And so sometimes language doesn't allow us to articulate whatever that feeling is.
Yeah, yeah.
And that's just for me.
I wonder too, going back to the pandemic, the pandemic is, again, probably not a cause here.
