On a nat 20, which is, I can only say for you at home, don't ask for rolls if you're not prepared.
Thinking back, you remember being out, you were in, this was many years ago, you were in Vanadis and you were grabbing something, you were grabbing like noodles at a place in Vanadis in the Eternal Night with the Ozzie.
You were off investigating something.
And this was probably about like five years ago, five or six years ago at this point.
You were talking to this friend he had there named Pascard Velmonte, who was an educated erudite man, and they shared a laugh about something.
Pascard was basically saying this thing of like, he was making a note about arcane studies, and he was saying, anytime you find a prophecy, anytime you find a secret scroll or a gem or anything from the ancient past,
it's never going to do anything helpful because things forged in the ancient past were forged to create the order of the ancient past, right?
So any spell created by the shapers was going to do something to shape the world into the shape that the shapers wanted it.
So he was talking about the importance of sacrilege, the importance of
changing and warping things to be different than their intended purpose.
Because he was like, you're basically saying like, oh, you cannot turn your back on power.
You must have the power to change the world that you see fit.
But you know, the purpose of a tool can be changed.
And you remember Thiazi smiling and going,
swords reshaped into plowshares.
And you remember that term, plowshares, that was just an odd thing for him to mention in that moment.
But that term, plowshares, in the context of arcane objects, and specifically, arcane objects that have been changed or altered.
And I think, correct me if I'm wrong, Laura, did Thimble ever get a chance to interact at all with the coffin way back at the funeral, at Thiazi's funeral?
I don't think you did.
Cool.
