Yeah, so I'll keep this brief.
I came to CATS as most of you all know in December of 2022.
I think my first MTC meeting was January of 2023.
Learned a lot about CATS and have come to love transit and the CATS team.
They work hard every day, but I've also now come to really respect and appreciate all of the support
that the MTC has given to CATS over my time in CATS, but also over the 25 plus years of the existence of the MTC.
So for that, on behalf of the entire CATS family, thank you for your support and thank you for your leadership throughout the years of CATS and for your passion for transit in the community throughout Mecklenburg County.
With that, I'll turn it over to you, Chair.
Mayor Pro Tem, members of City Council, thank you for having me this evening.
I'm Brent Cagle, interim CEO of CATS.
Not to correct my boss, but we have two members of the MPTA here, so I'll recognize Reverend Mack and Ned Curran, both members of the MPTA Finance Committee.
Okay.
I'll move through this pretty quickly.
Mr. Jones did a great job.
I think he took all of the major points that I had.
So this is going to be easy.
We're going to move through this pretty quickly.
Really, when we think about the last four years or so, we have been focusing our budgets and our actions on fundamentals.
People, assets, safety and security.
In the transit world, assets, you'll hear us say state of good repair.
