Dimple Azmir, At-Large. Ms. Mayo. Council Member Joy Mayo, representing District 3. Thank you all for being here for our business meeting agenda review. I'm going to turn it over to the city manager to you to introduce the one and only.
Thank you, Mayor Pro Tem. We'll start off with our... agenda review where we'll have any questions that you have from Marie and I'll say after that we have a pretty stacked agenda today. We have the CATS budget outlook and we have a number of items that have made their way through the committee process like the street vending regulation, the safety committee, as well as the passenger vehicle for hire ordinance from the safety committee, the housing trust fund from the housing committee, and we'll have a stellar awards update. I do believe we have three closed session items for today, and Mayor Portima, unless you have any questions, I'll turn it over to Marie.

Thank you, and good evening, Mayor Pro Tem and Council. And at your seat, you'll find additional information on some of the consent items and clarifications you've asked for this evening. And at this time, I'd like to take any other questions or any highlights you'd like to make.
Council Member J.D.? Thank you, Mayor Pro Tem. Thanks, Marie. I had a question on item 26, the real estate legal services. I want to know why did we receive only one response to this RFP, and are we ensuring that there is a competitive procurement process in terms of avoiding sole source patterns?
Great. Thank you for that. And, yes, just to clarify, we currently have four vendors registered. Recently we had one vendor that we had a contract with that withdrew. They were retiring. So we did definitely. We want to have at least five. So we have four, and then we're going to be putting it out again here shortly, to your point, since we only have one to hopefully get at least one more.
Thank you, Marie. And, Mayor Pritzker, if I may, I have another question. Go ahead, sir. Thank you. I have it for Agenda Item 33, Airport Customer Support Services for Terminal Operations, a contract with VIP Hospitality, LLC. Since this is a subcontractor potentially hired by the city, how are you ensuring that they are held accountable to ensure good wages, benefits, and safety standards to their employees?
So as far as the safety and training, they definitely are trained by our staff on the specific requirements of their duty. And while we don't have the legal authority to dictate, you know, we work with vendors as much as possible. And this one, the lowest wage would be $17 an hour. And that's for entry level with no experience. So they do have the opportunity to continue to grow and they have benefits and retirement and time off with their employer.

Thank you, sir. Marie, these are questions that I asked earlier, but just wanted to make sure that the clarifications were on the record. When it comes to items 38, 33, and 24, they all are looking at some sort of design services or some sort of on-call services. I just wanted to make sure that it was clear for the public the delineation between them, because there are some here that are assigned to Carpo some that are mechanical and design services for ongoing city things and as we think about the work going forward with the 19 billion in revenue coming I want to make sure folks understand where these buckets sit because some of them are federal and they don't have any CBI connection at all I just want to make sure that it's clear because there were a few items here that might have been confusing
