The land was donated by NCDOT for this park and ride and we work closely with Huntersville as we're designing and building this park and ride.
Safety and technology.
The safety and technology investments are spread across all of the years.
I'll mention a couple of the most important things.
One is a consolidated control center for all of our safety functions.
You may recall I refer to sometimes the ROC, the Rail Operations Control Center.
And sometimes I refer to the BOC, the Bus Operations Control Center.
We want one control center.
And so this will, that will make it more efficient and better for our safety and security and our operators as we move forward.
So that is a good example of safety and technology improvements moving forward is the consolidation of the two control centers.
Better bus.
We will begin the purchases for future expansion so we'll place the orders for the buses.
We have approximately seventy million dollars in this budget for bus purchases.
It takes about eighteen months to get buses so we're placing those orders now and inside of this budget we would anticipate making at least
if not more, improvements to 100 bus stops throughout Charlotte and Mecklenburg County in this year.
There will ultimately be more than 2,000 improvements, but in this year, at least 100, if not more.
And I can tell you, if we get...
As we look for ways to be more efficient and do this faster, if we get 100 done and we're not through with the year, we're gonna keep going.
We will not stop, we'll keep moving, but we are looking for ways to expedite the improvements to the bus shelters throughout Charlotte.
Redline Commuter Rail Project, this is the design work to bring the Redline to 30% design and to start and complete the environmental work associated with the Redline.
