And we know what happened after that.

I just the fact that Brady Kachuk, this narrative kept following him, even though.

There were different points where he said, I wanted to stay in Ottawa.

I want to stay in Ottawa.

I'm committed to this organization.

Remember the team at different points, whether through players or whether through ownership, refuted a lot of those rumors too.

Even though they did their best to do that, it still felt like, when is the other shoe going to drop?

And I think for fans, I feel for them the most because it's one thing for us in the media to hear stuff like that.

And

we have to be on our guard and prepare for that possibility.

If you're a fan, particularly a fan of Brady Kachuk, you see a lot of that stuff and you see your organization dunking on it and you're thinking, well, yeah, our guy's never going to leave.

Even in the back of your mind, you might think, hey, he might leave.

The idea of Brady Kachuk stepping up to everybody and being like, hey, Ottawa's my city and I'm committed to the city, you go behind that.

So I feel a lot for fans on that.

Uh, I hate it for fans bluntly.

I mean, this is a, this is a reality.

Like I grew up a kid in Southwestern Ontario and I remember when, you know, Lanny McDonald got traded.

Like that was the first one for me, Julian, when I was a kid where I was like, Whoa, you mean like, he's not going to be like number seven is that he's not playing anymore.

Like he's, he's, he's not going to be beyond, be on this team.
