And so that's a real balancing act for the AFL to try and manage, particularly when, you know, you have no free-to-wear on the Saturdays now.
I mean, will that be extended to Sundays?
Eventually, will it all be pay TV apart from one or two games?
Where are we heading with this, you know?
So the issue of commercialisation and trust is a big one for the AFL.
When I was at the Eagles, we had an executive of four.
We had the CEO and we had three GMs, marketing, finance and football.
And it was pretty simple.
One of the GMs spent all the money.
One of the other GMs made all the money, and one of the GMs just monitored and controlled it.
They were the three GMs.
And so it was very silo-ish, whereas now it's much more integrated.
And for instance, when I left Carlton, we had eight general managers.
And, you know, I want to get through them all, but there was footy infrastructure, HR, et cetera, et cetera.
And all eight formed the executive team.
And by and large, that is the group that makes the day-to-day decisions.
And we left the board to sign off on the business plan, basically, which was implemented by the exec.
So that's how it's changed, really.
It's a really good question.
It's hard to answer.
