I worked with him in New York.

He was a Southern District Prosecutor.

I was here and he was... I was on the Joint Terrorism Task Force and he was... Did you work on January... You worked on a January 6th...

I wasn't a case agent.

I was in a leadership position.

You touched one of them.

I've touched a bunch of them because it transcended my time in New York where some of the subjects, we had arrest warrants to take them to the next step in the accountability.

And then when I went to the hostage rescue team, some of the fugitives that had outstanding warrants were identified and I was commanding the hostage rescue team and we went and apprehended them as well.

So I touched it in different parts, but usually at the arrest part.

So I wasn't a case agent investigating it.

The request was in the survey that we had to build to identify anybody who was a part of those investigations was so large because, I mean, it takes all different types of skill sets and job series to conduct an investigation.

And so it was just a broad swath.

So at the time, I was told that I would receive a phone call from a White House transition team person who's tasked to DOJ.

And I was being vetted to be the acting deputy director.

So I was across the river in Newark.

I was a brand new special agent in charge.

It was like three weeks in.

And I was like, oh...

This will be interesting.

Didn't know what to expect.
