So it's pushed up towards the leadership ranks who receive media training and how to communicate with the media, what you can say, what you can't say to not compromise the mission or the investigation and so forth.

And really, I haven't met a lot of people that want to do it because we're so focused on just putting points on the board.

And it was Longfellow, and I don't mean to sound haughty, but Longfellow writes about just toiling upwards in the night while others sleep.

There's a lot of pride we take in that.

We don't do it for the pats on the back or the chest bumps or the beating your chest and bragging about it.

We do it because we're supposed to.

And that's what we signed up for.

And when we do have our successes and achieve lasting impact without our names on it, that's what we really care about.

That's what I care about.

It was just surreal and just personally felt a little bit chaotic.

And thankfully, I was there with one of my closest friends, Rob Kassane.

And then the White House published the list of interim heads of all the agencies.

And it was my name.

And it was really surreal.

And we just kind of do one of these things.

And we were met with like, wait, are you okay with this?

And Rob and I are so close and we were on the SWAT team together here and trust each other.

And we were surrounded by people we trust around the bureau.

And so we just, yeah, of course we're ready because we're going to support each other.

We're in this together.
