Uh and on the Kansas side, it's a big statewide election this year.

Uh candidates for governor, candidates for the US Senate.

Let's start with Governor Andrea.

Uh the the

We've had a Democratic governor in Kansas now for the last two terms.

There are three Democrats who want to succeed Laura Kelly as the governor.

What can you tell us uh in summary about that race?

going right back and forth every time.

And Ethan Corson, we should mention, state senator for the last uh five years, uh former executive director of the Democratic Party of Kansas.

But Cindy Holster, also a state senator for the same amount of time, uh former advertising executive.

Uh and really uh policy wise, those two candidates are not all that far apart.

Why has uh Governor Kelly said why did she go all in so early in support of Ethan Corson?

Should mention there is a third uh candidate in the race, Kurt Scoog, mayor of Overland Park, recent convert from the Republican Party and uh not so recent, but uh some years ago.

And and the the three of them will be facing off on the ballot.

But as you said, it's an uphill battle potentially against uh Republican uh

what tends to be thought of as a as a pretty red state.

Um give us the quick profile of the the seven candidates facing off for the Republicans.
