Well of course the state is one of the uh entities that invested in bringing the World Cup to Kansas City.

Uh there's another pretty big sports investment that's been in the news in the last couple of months.

The Royals announced back in April their intention to build a new stadium in the Crown Center area of Kansas City.

Uh of course lawmakers uh in Missouri passed a law in that special session you called to fund up to fifty percent of a stadium's cost.

Reports have been that the state's contribution to this stadium is likely to be two hundred to three hundred million dollars.

But do we actually know yet, governor, how much the state could be on the hook for with this?

And uh well well of course no one's happy that the ch in the Missouri side that the Chiefs are moving to Kansas.

And far and away, Governor, the most common topic that folks want to talk about from our text line at least is your proposal to move toward elimination of the state income tax.

You've made that your top priority.

Lawmakers have passed a constitutional amendment that would allow the state to cut the income tax essentially down to zero.
