Uh how why is why is this election do you agree a selection is an important one?

Well and of course in a lot of uh sort of the at the legislative level and even at the congressional level, those primary elections are are very likely to be determinative of uh of who is eventually elected in November.

But not about the the partisan content.

Not the partisan contest, that's correct.

And and there that is a difference between Kansas and Missouri, right, Abby?

Uh you don't register in a per particular political party.

Well let's talk a little bit about some of those uh things that people will find on the ballot and let's start with those ballot questions.

In fact I'll I'll ask you, Andrea, you mentioned the constitutional amendment in Kansas uh pertaining to the Supreme Court.

Remind us what a yes vote will do on the Kansas constitutional amendment.

And why is that?

I mean, what what is the political scientists' argument against uh just simply having uh judges apply, get on a ballot just like any other candidate and and run for office just like any other candidate?

And and the politics, uh make no mistake in this case, are about particular political issues that have been decided by the Kansas Supreme Court, right?

So there could be a lot riding on this constitutional amendment vote.

Uh Abby, let's switch over to the Missouri side and talk about the two most prominent ballot measures, uh at least according to the lawn signs I'm seeing in the neighborhoods around here, uh Amendment four and amendment five in Missouri.

Amendment four, that's a pretty major change to the state constitution.
