My wife and I talk about the point at which I transitioned purely into leadership management strategy, working more on the business, and I was no longer doing sales.

And there was a summer where I wasn't sure what to do with myself.

I can do it really efficiently, really fast.

I can check this box off and I can do it really.

And those get taken away from me.

It's like somebody took your security blanket away.

And now I'm having to think about what is our marketing strategy look like for the last year, for the next year.

It's way easier to go do a quote.

And it's that transition caught me by surprise.

I don't do much of it, so I've been able to avoid it.

Yesterday, I spent a fair amount of time thinking about some strategic initiatives that we're going to be doing in the second half of this year and throughout 2027.
