I thought that he would be going to Celtic Park.

If he is to go elsewhere, then Celtic haven't made a move for him.

If he's turned them down, then whatever else.

But I don't think he'll be at Motherwell.

I think he's been absolutely a breath of fresh air for Scottish football.

I think the way that Motherwell played football has been brilliant to watch.

They've been the best team ever.

The most pleasing team on the eye this season and he deserves a move without being disrespectful to a bigger club.

He leaves Motherwell in Europe as well, which is fantastic for that football club and with some real sellable assets.

But if I was on the Celtic board and I was part of the recruitment trying to bring the new manager in, I would do everything within my power to try and get him across to Celtic Park.

It's so difficult to explain because, you know, not only the way that they did play, but where Motherwell were last season with the players that he managed to do it with again without being disrespectful to them, had them full of confidence, you know, players willing to run forward at the top end without actually receiving the ball, knowing they're not going to get the ball, create space for others.

So sometimes you try and go after them and press high and they'll just play through you.

Sometimes you try and sit off in the rotations as well.

you know you couldn't get near them at times and and that's the thing that goes down to yes the players because i have to believe in it but the manager for also you know giving them that belief giving them the confidence to do things and the way he used to break things down to them as well um was absolutely fantastic and the turnaround he's made in motherwell in a year as i said i don't think there's many managers

out there that they could have attracted that could have done that if anyone else so he deserves huge credit for it a real difficult team to play against and listen as I said he's left them with some real sellable assets as well which is really good for that football club but yeah if I'm Celtic you watch the way that Motherwell have done it you've got better players ultimately with a bigger budget you can bring in players as well that suit his style you know I'll be going all out to try and get him if it's not too late I thought Askew was absolutely brilliant over the course of the season but we'll go back

It's quite a decent level, isn't it?

Oh, it's a great level, and it's a fantastic move from if it's one that, you know, comes to fruition.

I just think winning things, I think, you know, if it was a manager that hadn't been in Scotland and didn't understand the size of these clubs, in terms of Celtic and Rangers, speaking about Celtic in this example, I think it'd be very, very different.
