I've managed to see an awful lot of places in the world that I would never have, never got the chance to go to.

But what happened was, I had a brother living in London who, who, he managed a pub in, in,
near Acton and he rang the house the night England played the opening game it was 0-0 and he asked my dad would he let me come over to get tickets for matches I mean it's ridiculous to think of how easy it seemed to be to get tickets in 1966 can you imagine the World Cup now if it ever got to England again how difficult it would be to get tickets they mightn't be as pricey as they were for America
Mexico and Canada.
But anyway, I ended up going, been in England for a couple of days and going to every match in that group that England played.
It was France, Mexico and Uruguay was the group.
And I was at all the other games.

I think the other grounds they could have used around London at the time, but it seemed that the clubs didn't want to give their grounds for the World Cup because they had to do ground repairs, pitch repairs.
