The last thing you want to be is predictable.

We would have blitzed sometimes occasionally off a scrum just for the opposition 10, depending on who it was, to go, well, that's what we're doing today, and then next time you show a completely different picture.

Predictability is not your friend.

You need to always...

offer something slightly different to make sure you keep the attack guessing.

And I think playing the Blitz defence, unless you have it absolutely nailed down, and I don't think we could say at any point it's been nailed down over the course of this two years, whereas comparatively you look at the Jacques Nienaber defence with South Africa, it was like, how do we beat this?

That was the sense in the World Cup.

It was like, how do you get around this?

Or how do you get through it?

They had it so tight, so efficient, so effective.

And then their scramble was so good when they did occasionally get busted that you kind of didn't think a whole lot about it.

Whereas with this particular group, I don't think you could say that it has had anywhere near the same effect that it had for the spring box.

And couple that then is that it's taken obviously an awful lot of time and focus to try and get the nuances of it and get the accuracy of it that it has achieved.
