So it's basically sitting in on all the strategy type meetings and all the sort of internal discussions
about risk and about the outlook and about asset allocation and really sort of throw your two cents worth in there.
The other half of the role is actually going out and talking about it, which is why I'm here.
Really, the other half of the role is being in many ways, I kind of call myself the senior translator for a bunch of other really smart people so that we can explain in plain English what we're doing with 2.4 million people's money.

Because at the end of the day, that's what we do.
We are looking after the retirement savings of 2.4 million Australians and trying to explain to them what we're doing with their money in plain English is another big part of the role.
It's an interesting one.
We get that a lot.
I hear that a lot around the traps.
And there's a few rules of thumb.
It used to be – I'm not sure whether this is still the case.
You probably know better than I. But I reckon people start to pay attention when your super balance gets to be either the equivalent of a year's salary or $100,000, whatever comes first.
Agreed.
Right?
Absolutely.
But I think there's going to be another cohort of people that are going to become even more interested in super.
is that we're about to see another batch of people who are going to retire with actually a reasonable super balance.
And they're actually going to have a better retirement experience than they otherwise would.
Now, when their kids and their grandkids see that, that's going to influence them to take more of an interest in super, I think.
