It's like, well, gee, actually, mum and dad did okay in retirement.
Maybe I should actually pay attention to what's happening to my superannuation.
Absolutely.
So I think that'll be a really important test as well, and that's still to come.
And even if those people, they will have a retirement which is funded by a combination of their super and the age pension and together with, say, a seniors card and a healthcare card.
But put that package together, they'll actually end up with quite a reasonable retirement experience helped along by super.
Definitely.
And I think that the kids and grandkids will see that experience and it'll, I think, also lead them to become more interested in super as well.
That's a really important point, actually, because I often hear from just friends of mine or relatives of mine who aren't in the industry or don't pay any attention to super.
And they say, oh, look, but I'd rather invest in shares and property on my own.
It's like, well, you can do that and pay a full rate of tax, or you can do the same thing in super and pay a hell of a lot less tax.
What do you want to do?
Yeah.
Of course, there's a trade-off.
You're going to have to lock that away until you can have preservation aged when you retire.
But it is very much a tax wrapper.
You get access to a broad range of investments and you pay a lot less tax so that you can fund your retirement.
But, you know, it's not a bad way of thinking about it, especially given that a lot of Australians are still kind of obsessed with tax in many ways.
Yeah, I think it's the mindset and the time horizon is both a challenge and a luxury, in a way, if I can put it that way.
We firstly, you know, the average age of a member of ART is somewhere between, I think, 40 and 45.
