No, I don't.
I consider myself to be a political commentator.
I have a lot of respect and reverence for the work that journalists do.
And I wouldn't be able to do what I do without the work that journalists do, but I don't want to put myself on the same level.
I'm not out here calling sources.
I'm giving my opinion.
And in large part, I rely on that work, but it's not the exact work I do.
So I feel like it would be unfair
to say that I'm a journalist.
Now, that's not to say that I don't do journalism, that's not to say that I don't break news when I sit down with elected officials or whoever it may be, but I view myself as a political commentator first, and I think that the people who do the hard work of journalism deserve that title
for all the work that it entails.
Yeah, I think, look, I think in large part, it's in the eye of the beholder, right?
So I think that if someone, I think that anybody, this might be where you and I differ, because I think that I'm not so moved.
I can see how you as a journalist yourself, a longtime journalist yourself, would have a stronger opinion on this.
I'm more focused on
less on the labels that people ascribe to themselves and more on the work that we're all doing in this ecosystem.
So I'm less precious about the labels.
Look, I try to comport myself in a way that I think is fair.
And so I'll do me.
But I think in terms of what other people want to do,
