And I've been kind of hoping that it won't happen, but also anticipating it happening where the administration does start to lean on the social media platforms and say, oh, how dare you allow this person to have reach? voice-verified

We are claiming that we're being harassed by them or that they're committing some crime, whatever it may be, as grounds to get the social media companies to clamp down. voice-verified

What I have appreciated is that in this space, the independent media space versus the other those other spaces, be it universities, law firms, legacy media companies, tech companies, there has been there has been voice-verified

blanket support from everybody else in the space and from the folks who um who who um you know log on as as viewers and and readers for this stuff and that's been really heartening because it is an isolating feeling when you have like voice-verified

uh the federal government name you specifically like it is a daunting it is a daunting feeling and the government is such a behemoth and they have total control um total power and like i take a lot of steps for privacy and security the government can sidestep that in a hot minute like super easily so all of that is daunting but i think um seeing people voice-verified

like you on down including the people who are on the the media offenders list kind of universally stand up and push back against what this administration is doing as opposed to succumbing and saying okay i'm just going to take a step back i'll quiet down we haven't seen any of that and that's been really heartening um and and that's you know look you deserve a lot of credit because you um you were one of if not the first person in this space to be targeted by the administration and i think voice-verified

how you fight back sets the stage for how those who come after you are going to fight back. voice-verified

But it also sends a message of what to expect to people who are tuning in. voice-verified

And I think when you lay the foundation of, okay, we're going to fight back against all of this, then that is the correct response. voice-verified

And it's rightfully what people should come to anticipate. voice-verified

And so when other content creators, other independent journalists follow your lead, I think that you deserve a lot of credit for how you set that stage initially. voice-verified

If we're able to neutralize these attacks and show everybody in this White House that this is not something that's going to chill speech or kind of suppress our voices or allow him to quell us into submission, that if we're instead able to capitalize off of this and grow our platforms off of this and redouble our efforts off of this and make our voices even louder, then this shows that like, okay, maybe this is not something I'm going to be able to deploy with any effectiveness. voice-verified

And that's kind of different from the rest of the people that he's attacked because we did see so much capitulation. voice-verified
