And we literally went in and showed it to them and said, you think more revenue is more profit.
It's not because all the revenue you're generating off these nine channels is actually losing money for you.
you'd be better off shutting all those down, moving the money over here.
You'll make more revenue at a higher profit margin with less channels if you just do this one thing.
But you've got to measure, and it's got to be a pattern measure over a period of time so that you can get good data.
P&Ls are 24 months.
I look at them month over month.
So
Show me an Excel spreadsheet, January, February, March, April, May, 24 straight months.
And then I go in and I start doing what I do, which is break all the KPIs out, highlight them, put percentages underneath of them, and then draw those percentages into a graph on the other side so I can graph whatever that KPI is.
I did a franchise company, quick story.
They have 200 franchises.
And I did the top two, the middle two, and the bottom two.
And I pulled their P&Ls over a two-year period.
I did this at their annual convention.
And I said, look at these top two.
How many people want this business?
It's growing.
They're making lots of money.
And everyone's like, yeah.
