On this particular case, we don't have a dedicated utilities division, a team member. podcast-host

The reason for that is currently we, as the commissioners are fully aware, there's 40 rate cases pending or processing those cases as quickly and as efficiently as we can. podcast-host

Many of our staff are doing an excellent job, but they're new. podcast-host

And we really don't have anybody who would be experienced enough, especially for a complicated case like this with a formula rate that already wasn't working on the case, to be able to answer questions for the commission. podcast-host

Vice Chair, of course we'll monitor the dockets where this could potentially impact. podcast-host

I would just state this is a part of our normal audit when we're seeing new plant investments and plant replacements. podcast-host

There should be an associated retirement. podcast-host

But I'll just note there's a materiality issue here where a lot of our newer staff tend to think, well, it costs a million dollars for this plant. podcast-host
