Petersburg and Alang Field.

Because I took that extra semester, I was graduated in December.

Most graduates were in May, right?

They were going to start after they meet the team somewhere during the season.

I remember emailing the executive editor in charge of the internship stuff, Bill Hill, who now teaches in Arizona.

And I remember saying, like, I have a place to live already.

Can I start like in February when they start reporting at Allang Field?

And they're like, sure.

So they got me a credential already.

So the Rays were winning in spring training.

It was the most fun I've ever had.

Teams that aren't supposed to win, as you know, Kevin, that win are the most fun to be around because there are no expectations and everyone's giddy and excited.

And by the time opening day came along, I knew the players.

I knew the teams.

I knew the coaches.

I had already had an entire spring training that no other intern got.
