Yeah, right.

I mean, well funny enough, I mean it's common in the news industry, right?

But in in a lot of big companies it's uh not a thing you hear so much about.

Certainly Microsoft you don't.

And you know, it's probably a better, more humane option than just laying off eight thousand people.

I mean, this probably is

you know, good in that sense versus just giving the axe to people indiscriminately in the way that we saw maybe Oracle do last month.

But you know, it's a sign of the times that companies are looking at their cost structure and saying that in the age of AI we're spending a lot on data centers and building these models and maybe having less people.

It's kind of a funny algorithm.

It's if you are it's your years of service plus age, if it's at least seventy, then you're eligible.

Um, so it's you know, longer tenured or just older folks who are eligible here.

Um, funny enough, the salespeople are not eligible, I think, because their fiscal quarter, their fiscal year is coming to a close soon, and so they don't want them to stop selling.

But yeah, this is a pretty targeted program.

And I think Microsoft probably has more of these long tenured folks than a lot of other companies.

But we saw just today, Meta announced they're gonna announce, you know, ten thousand layoffs.

It's a it's a similar picture and they're all kind of going in the same trend.

Yeah.

No, I mean it's sh it's just that question of and we haven't even gotten to the idea that AI is gonna make these companies more efficient and you you know, maybe a call center that had a hundred people now you're gonna need eighty, seventy people.

A lot of that idea hasn't fully played out yet.
