And even to bring it back to the Black women on reality TV, the reason why there is such a heightened...

awareness of the way that they are showing up is because we have such little representation, right?

If Black women were in mainstream media and TV all the time and it was just a common thing, we wouldn't have this like fervor around like focusing on these very few women that are in the public spotlight.

So it's like Black women become these symbols of, you know,

class, race, identity, morality.

Black women just can't just exist and be themselves on television.

They become these symbols for so much more.

And they have to carry that weight, which is a lot.

So I have changed my perspective on plastic surgery.

What was it before and what is it now?

Before I saw it as inherently oppressive and inherently contributing to pretty much the fact that women are not allowed to age publicly.

Right.

Like it was sort of like, so if we just normalize plastic surgery, it's just this thing that we do.

We are contributing to this false idea that aging is essentially the worst thing that can happen to a woman publicly.

Right.

Um, I think as I have grown to appreciate the artistry involved in plastic surgery, I just did a great interview with Dr. Truesdale.
