for this team is he and I wrote I've written about this a few times with him he is a throwback player like Pam Moon and I would think of these types of players back well when Cam was playing in particular um you know he's a guy who can skate well but is fearless

You know, he hits through people, which is something is hard to explain, but basically he's hitting to hurt players and then he's backing up every situation, whether he's involved with it or a team that's involved with it.

And that's a, that's a, you know, that's an old school mentality.

And to be candid, there isn't a lot of that on the Edmonton Oilers.

So it makes him intriguing.

The issue with him, there's two issues.

Number one, he doesn't have to take every fight.

And that's what he did last year.

That's what got him hurt, actually.

He took a fight.

It was clear he hurt his hand.

Played the next game, took another fight.

and he had to go have surgery.

So you have to understand, you know, just his presence out there, especially his ability to hit with speed, I think is going to intimidate players.

And so he doesn't always need to take fights to create space for his teammates.

And the bigger part, and we saw this clip when he was up with the Oilers and Chris Knobloch at practice, working with him on his puck skills, his one-touch puck skills,

getting the puck on the wall in his own zone and getting it out, making good decisions.

That's the part of the game that has to develop in order for him to be, again, we talk about coaches being able to count on him, just count on him to get the puck on the wall and get it out and get up the ice and get on the forecheck where he can use his capabilities.

That's the part that will hold him back.

That's the part that needs to develop before he gets there.
