Like all this time you're thinking, okay, he's probably going to have to go into the supplemental draft because anybody who's gotten caught gambling at all related to college sports.
And I'm not even talking about like he gambled, he bet on games that he was on the team.
It wasn't like, oh, he also bet on Cincinnati women's lacrosse and other sports at the school.
He was betting, he was in the program.
when this was going on in addition.
And so it was just assumed by everyone, because we have all these other cases, it's like really the one hard and fast rule that the NCAA can cling to.
If you bet, you're pretty much done.
And so that's what we thought it was going to be.
His attorney, they ended up hiring Jeffrey Kessler, who's one of the most high-powered sports attorneys there is.
He's won a lot of big cases and gone up against
has been involved in all sorts of high-level, high-profile cases.
And so they had come forward and said, basically, he is gonna serve a two-game suspension.
And by the way, those two games are against Oregon State and Abilene Christian, who are probably the two worst opponents that Texas Tech plays.
And the NCAA shot that down fast.
And so then they got this judge who is a retired judge.
He's been retired, I think, since 2012.
He's from Fort Worth, but this was heard in Lubbock County.
And I talked to some lawyers yesterday.
They were like, there was actually nothing really to what...
this, this case, it was just basically like, okay, he's getting cleared.
