He's going to sit out the first two games and that's that.
And it is just mind boggling to anybody who has been paying attention to college sports.
It has made folks inside the big 12 apoplectic.
They were already really like felt like Texas tech was the villain because of the way they throw money around with NIL.
And they feel like they're getting around a lot of the
a lot of the guardrails, if there are such a thing, when it comes to NIL.
But now this is way next level.
And it's going to get ugly.
It's already gotten really ugly, but I feel like it's getting uglier.
I was on the phone most of the day yesterday with different people, coaches, and administrators around the Big 12 who feel like the NCAA is not very optimistic that they're going to win an appeal or a timely appeal or get one.
So right now, I think the main recourse is, can the other 15 schools, their athletic directors and their presidents, put enough pressure on Brett Yormark, the commissioner of the Big 12, to be like, yeah, Texas Tech didn't have to play him.
They didn't have to put out some stupid statement that said all the right things except for the part about any accountability.
It's like, we're not playing them.
We're not going to play against them and we're not going to play against Texas Tech because the rules, the basic rules that come with college sports are not applying to them and they've had enough.
There's so many layers to his individual case.
And I think that the wildest part about this is somehow Brendan Swordsby and Texas Tech and this judge have made the NCAA a sympathetic figure.
We've never had that before.
Because there's been so many other athletes, basketball players, football players, wrestlers, who've been banned for one thing, not related to betting they're on their own team even.
Yeah, it's just crazy.
And this, everybody's head's spinning after what came down from this retired judge.
