You have to do the same thing with the NCAA players.
They are playing a step up in competition, both in terms of talent and physical maturity.
And I think you have to take that into account.
Oh, Evan Bouchard for certain.
I just think you can't have enough skill at a short tournament like this.
Um, Evan Bouchard is certainly one of the best Canadian defensemen from an offensive perspective.
And quite frankly, I think he's shown his defensive chops in the last little bit this year.
Some people, you know, they get spotlighted on,
kind of the egregious turnover and it's that's fair and in a short tournament that could catch it but i i think he's more than balanced that out and his offensive skill set is just so elite it's it would be a shame not to see him on that team i think every forward would benefit from him being there
I don't think Nugent Hopkins, there's a lot of players of a similar type of player with a little bit more to them than Nugent Hopkins.
Hyman is a tougher one for me.
And, you know, I could go either way.
Part of it is a comfort thing for McDavid.
I don't think that's a bad idea to have a player that you have some instant chemistry with.
The other part is I hear all this rumble that this rink is something like three feet shorter than an NHL-sized rink, I believe.
And boy, I'll tell you, Hyman is an F1 in a rink that's got three feet less space in it.
It would be intriguing, I think, right?
And so that's the part.
I mean, I guess the question is, is he right, right?
Like, you know, I'm not totally convinced that wrist is all the way back.
