But he'd he literally ha didn't train with Richmond all that all that season because of
the the army d duties and yet and yet he won he won their best and fairest and also uh uh played a pivotal part in uh at Sena H Ford in a premiership so he was he was quite
not and as I said my publisher Graham Ryan said to me if you're going to try to bring to life all these people you need to show who they are and and who they were.
So uh that was uh I going around the clubs were were very uh helpful the the people the families were very helpful um AFL photos uh there's a lady called Celia Drummond who I'm indebted to for uh for sourcing a a lot of them and
And uh so uh it was important that I got I got photographs of all these people so that uh w I could identify or the reader could identify and relate to them when we w when we're telling the stories.
And uh uh there was action shots, there's shot shots of people coming off and carrying premiership cups around the ground and uh players, Carton players in Collingwood Guernsey's uh
As they did in those days when they swapped jumpers and uh it as I said, it was a different time in football for sure.
