Well, Royce was 60, 69.
He was the centre half forward for Richmond.
He was conscripted, sent to, first he went to Manly, a base up in Sydney.
But when it came around to the finals of 69, he was up at an army base up in the Adelaide Hills.
And the grand final day, he was sent.
there was a bivouac, a weekend bivouac on into the bush and Graham Richmond, who was the power broker at Richmond, and Alan Schwab, who was the secretary, said, you have to pay someone else to take your place.

But he literally didn't train with Richmond all that season because of the army duties and yet he won their best and fairest and also played a pivotal part at Senaha Ford in a premiership.
