Jamari Taylor was a former walk-on.

He's a guy that played at North Carolina Central for four years before he went to Virginia.

He kind of got it out the mud in terms of got it the hard way.

And what you're seeing is a rugged player who is really relishing the opportunity uh to take, you know, the lead back in preseason.

And when you see some

someone have over 20 carries, you see the way that he continued to get stronger as the game went on.

There's certainly a lot to like about what he brings to the table.

And when we're looking at practice squad guys, you're looking at guys who not only have developmental potential down the line,

But guys that can be, I don't wanna say satisfied in their role, but guys that can handle that role.

without disrupting the team, meaning, hey man, I may not be on the team right now, but I'm gonna bust my tail in this role and I'm gonna handle everything that's on my plate in the event that I'm able to get more.

So I can be a good practice squad player.

I can be a great teammate.

I can find a way to stay around until I get a chance to do something that allows me to be on the fifty three.

Watching him play, watching how hard he played, watching how the team rallied behind him, he absolutely gives off those vibes that look, if he has to go in the practice squad, he'll be a great practice squad player.

And if he's able to stick around long enough, he could be one of those guys as a third or fourth running back that eventually can help you.

Absolutely.

Now one of the things that Liam talked about last week is he wanna see clown fo clean football, he wanna see a fundamentally sharp team, you wanna see violence and physicality.

Based on the conversation that I had with guys coming off the heels of the joint practice last week, he didn't see that.

The game was a little clunky, got better, but it still wasn't the violent physical uh persona that he wants this team to play with.

Uh, it appears that he certainly got that today.
