And I think that's what happened here, that the Dodgers were the one organization basically to say,

The guys you were asking about were ready to go.

And it was clear, this is GM said to me, that the Tigers went into this.

They had a group of prospects in mind.

They focused on it, and they execute the deal with the Dodgers.

And by the way, they're now within a couple of games of a wild card spot, and I get that they got value back in the return.

But if we're going to laud the efforts of teams like the Rays,

Like the Guardians, like the Red Sox, the Padres to try to win.

It kind of makes me sick to my stomach when teams don't try to win.

I think you should be encouraged.

Look, and there's some cases because the question for me is the proportional response.

I love the fact that the Red Sox went for it because they're playing great.

The Nationals, and you see them play on a regular basis, they are ahead of schedule.

They have made great progress this year, but I don't think anybody believes that they could win, get to the postseason and win in October with that staff.

So I like this approach.

I thought it was the appropriate response for where they are because they're not close to the best teams in the National League.

I was not as discouraged by it as you were.
