The next generation of comedy stars.

And I'm sitting there as a 14 year old kid and I'm writing jokes with them.

And I'm learning comedy and the art of comedy and the science of comedy.

And I never stopped performing.

And I ended up being the youngest comedian to do The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

And I was 18 and that got me a number of offers and that got me a show called Real People.

And I did that reality show, but I never lost track.

I want to do this late night show.

So I started doing my show, a once a week show, and I used Johnny Carson's studio on the weekends so I could be near Johnny because I wanted to have conversations with him in the parking lot.

And since the time I was 14, I would talk to Johnny Carson as he pulled into his parking space and I would be near his space and I'd say, hello, Mr. Carson.

Good afternoon, Mr. Carson.

And over the years, he got to know my name.

Mr. Carson, I saw that routine you did the other night.

This joke was very funny, Mr. Carson.

And over the years, he got to know me.

And when I was 18, he had me on the show.

And when I was standing backstage behind the curtain, ready to go on, I was joking with Gene, Gene, Gene, the dancing machine from the Gong Show and Irv.

And they started, they started, they were joking with me.

And all of a sudden they got serious and they said, cleared their throats, like turn around, standing behind the curtain.

I'm 18, ready to go out and do my first Tonight Show.
