Yeah, I think that we share the same disorder of pop culture obsession.
And before we started recording, we were talking about this week's latest internet icon, Jimothy, the sort of mangled raccoon who has captivated the hearts of the internet.
And I was just thinking, like, you kind of have a very tough job.
in terms of knowing what is worth paying attention to and what is going to sort of like pass by in terms of like internet pop culture fads.
So do you feel like you've gotten better at like predicting what's going to become a cultural moment or are you still like surprised by the things that catch on?
Yeah, I don't think I saw it coming either.
And I think it's one of the things that I love about pop culture so much is that it is fun and everyone sort of like gets in on it.
And then the fellow pop culture addicts, like they built him a Wikipedia page in one second.
So I feel like I'm always surprised at the stomach that people have for this.
And it's kind of like it's because it's, you know, it's whimsical and it's entertaining and it's not sort of the like doom and gloom news I think we get everywhere else.
And I'm curious to sort of like to that point, is there like what's the last thing you watched or listened to or read or like consumed that kind of reminded you of why you fell in love with like entertainment in the first place?
I thought it was a big hit.
I didn't think it was going to be this crossover hit that it is now.
Like I didn't think she was going to be up there with like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey in terms of like holding space on the charts for this long.
I will say I have loved that song for months and I still play it and love it.
And one of my new measures, like systems of measurement I have for pop culture is if my toddler really likes something and he starts like grooving to it, I'm like, oh, this crosses over.
Like if a toddler hears this and wants to groove to it,
